With paint, paper, and my garden...

I feel incredibly blessed to work as an artist. I'm grateful for the time to explore the connections of color and imagery with everyday life. I spend a lot of time in my garden, digging, pruning, planting and praying for rain, sunlight, warmth or a breeze. My companions are my two pooches along with the bunnies, frogs, fish, and lovely birds that visit or live in my backyard habitat. Gardening for me is a long game, and I have as many fails as successes, but it's worth it. All of the work I put into my backyard is what inspires and informs my art-making process. It helps me see possibilities and connections while keeping me humble with hope. I try to capture this mystery and happiness of life in my art.
